No account, no ads, no tracking
Open Tip’d, add your job and log a shift. There's no sign-up, no login and no email to confirm, because your tips are your business. Everything you enter is saved on your iPhone and, with iCloud on, in your own iCloud, and nothing is sent to us.
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking

- Delete anything, from every device
- Export your numbers any time
Where your shifts live
Tip’d stores your jobs, shifts, paychecks and goals on your phone and syncs them through your private iCloud database. That's Apple's own service, tied to your Apple Account, and it does two things an account of ours never could: it backs your records up without you making a password, and it brings them back on a new phone by itself. Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on, give it a few minutes, and your history is there.
We couldn't read your numbers if we wanted to. The app has no server of its own, and we never see your shifts.
What isn't in the app
- No ads. Nothing to dismiss between you and the form.
- No analytics or tracking. Tip’d doesn't report what you tap, how often you open it or where you are.
- No third-party code. No ad networks, no analytics kits, no crash reporters that phone home.
- No upload when you import. A file you bring in is read on your phone, and Tip’d 1.2, due out this month, adds photos, PDFs and pasted notes, read on the device with Apple Intelligence helping when it's available. Nothing leaves it.
It's your data
Export a spreadsheet or a PDF of your year whenever you like; the numbers are yours to take anywhere. Delete a shift, a paycheck or a goal, and with iCloud on it's gone from your other devices too; Tip’d 1.2 adds deleting a whole job with its shifts. To remove everything, delete the app and its iCloud data in Settings. The privacy policy says all of this in full, in plain words, including the little this website itself does. The videos in our guides load from YouTube only when you press play.
Questions people ask
What if I lose my phone?
Your shifts are in your iCloud. Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new phone and they come back.
Can my manager or the restaurant see my numbers?
No. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you export it and hand it over.
Why don't you make an account like other apps?
Because you don't need one, and because an account would mean a server holding your money records. Your iCloud does the job better, and it's already yours.
Does it cost anything?
No. Logging shifts, stats, trends, goals, paychecks and imports are free, with no ads. Read more about Tip’d.
